Papaya is a senior women artist group. The word ‘Pa’ in Thai mean aunt, ‘Ya’ mean grandmother and papaya is one of the main ingredient in Somtam; a famous north eastern Thai food. Also, Papaya band originally formed in the north eastern of Thailand as well. This project consist of 3 albums.

        “North Eastern Ladies” is the first album of the band. The song is about 3 women born in north eastern Thailand and their childhood memories.



        But sadly they have to move to the capital for work purpose. Their fight against the poverty begin as a factory worker, so the second album was named “Factory Ladies”



        The last album “Capital Ladies” is about a day after long journey, the money they had been saving turn into investment budget, they open a restaurant together in Bangkok and lived happily ever after.
